Charles Henry Monroe, Jr.

Guyton – Charles Henry Monroe, Jr., 87 passed away November 8, 2019 at Candler Hospital.

The Chatham County native was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the D.A.V.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Celia Kay Monroe; and granddaughter, April Remick.

Survivors include his daughter, Brenda Remick; granddaughter, Amy Remick; siblings, Jimmy Monroe, Robert (Pat) Monroe, Judy (Tim) Jones, and Edna Dailey; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Jerusalem Lutheran Church.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.
