Obituary
PT. WENTWORTH: Mr. Charles "Tommy" Rhodes, 64, went home to be with Jesus on November 3, 2011.
Mr. Rhodes was a long time resident of Pt. Wentworth, GA. He retired from Atlanta Gas Light in 1998 and was a member of Effingham Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Cathye Boatright Rhodes; children, Shelly, Kimberly, Miranda (Alfred), John (Noreen), Travis (Lindsey), Kenneth (Amber) and Anthony (Anita); sister, Lynne; brother, Wade (Judy) and Butch (Susan); ten grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 5, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Effingham Baptist Church c/o Togo, Africa Well Project, P.O. Box 825, Rincon, GA 31326.
