Charlie "Darnell" Griffin, 62, of Guyton, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Savannah and was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Griffin.  He was a carpenter by trade.  He loved the game of softball, his Georgia Bulldawgs, Atlanta Falcons, and selling peanuts on the weekend.  His greatest love was being a Poppy to his grandbabies.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, DeeAnna  Griffin; his daughters, Tiffany (Michael) Kramer and Kristina (Adam) Boerger; grandkids, Michaela and Cooper Kramer, Carson and new baby Boerger; mother, Eutween Griffin; sisters, Lisa Griffin, and Patricia (Willie) Stanfield and a number of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society – Lung Cancer – 6600 Abercorn Street, Suite 206, Savannah, GA  31405 or to Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA  31416.

The visitation will be on Tuesday, July 3 ^rd from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home followed by the funeral at 7 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.
