Springfield – Charlie Irseal Morgan, 71, went home to be with the Lord on December 30, 2020.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rubin and Annie Laura Morgan.  Charlie had several hobbies and interest ranging from fishing, hunting, and family.  He often told stories from his younger days and time of employment at Union Camp a.k.a International Paper after 35 years of service.  Charlie was a member of First Baptist Church of Springfield.

He is survived by his wife of 49 ½ years, Shirley Boyles Morgan; daughter, Cheryl I. Smiley; son, Billy I. Morgan; grandchildren, Elizabeth "Diane" Hutson (Mark), Joshua Smiley, and Jacob Morgan; sister, Judy A. Rahn; brother, Steve Morgan (Vondell); brother-in-law, Henry "Bud" Boyles; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Boyles Family Cemetery, 479 Mock Rd., Springfield, GA 31329 with Pastor Reland Morgan officiating.
