Charlotte Eva Boyd Marsh

Guyton, GA- Charlotte Eva Boyd Marsh, 79, died Wednesday at Effingham Extended Care Facility after a short illness. She was a native of Statesboro and lived in Guyton for the past 42 years. She graduated from Statesboro High School in 1948, attended Draughon's Business School and worked at Merill, Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Beane Stock Exchange in Savannah before becoming a loving wife and mother of four sons. She was a member of New Providence Baptist Church in Guyton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Marsh, Sr., her father, Robert Penn Boyd and her mother, Anna Spence Boyd.

Surviving is one sister, Penny Ann Rhimes of Savannah and a brother, Louis Carson Boyd of Savannah. Also are four sons: Robert W. Marsh, Jr. (Cathy) of Rincon, Charles P. Marsh (Teressa) of Guyton, James C. Marsh, Sr. (Denise) of Guyton and Jeffery D. Marsh (Angie) of Guyton; six grandchildren, Robert W. Marsh, III, Heather F. Marsh, Chad A. Marsh, Matthew B. Marsh, James C. Marsh, Jr., Zachary D. Marsh; and a great-granddaughter, Kaydence O. Marsh.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 4th, 10:30 am at New Providence Baptist Church. Burial will be at Effingham Memorial Gardens in Springfield. Visitation will be held at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home in Rincon, GA on Friday, December 3rd, from 6-8 pm.
