Bluffton, SC-Cheryl (Cheri) Blackburn was born on May 5, 1948 and was called back to Heaven on October 24, 2013.
Cheri was born in East Liverpool, Ohio and graduated from Jefferson Union High School. She had a long career in retail. Over the last 10 years she made her home at the Savannah History Museum. She was the type of person who made friends with everyone she met.
She is survived by her sister, Sue; brothers, Dennis, David and Glenn; her beloved dog, Coco, as well as many dear friends. We will all miss her very much.
The visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home in Pooler.
The memorial service will be at 7 p.m. on Monday at the Maye River Baptist Church located at 3507 Okatie Highway in Bluffton, SC.
