Chip Ayers
Rincon- Chip Ayers, 58 years of age, died suddenly last Friday, May 27, 2016. He died happy, quick and painlessly when his heart just stopped after a wonderful day doing what he loved best, fishing for cobia with his wife and friends.
Chip was originally from Ohio but lived the last 25 years in Rincon, Georgia. He worked at the Herty Foundation for 22 years and was a valued employee who enjoyed his job and its many challenges; he left behind his teammates who were also considered his family.
He is preceded in death by his mother Lillian, father Eugene, and sister Carolyn Ewers from Fredericktown. He left behind his soul-mate Judy and son Nathan Ayers (Elizabeth Ann), daughters Ashley Greene (Adam) and Randi Brant (Jake), as well as two grandchildren Hayden Ayers and Wesley Moran. Extended family includes Rodney, Kassie and Dulcie and their families and brother-in-law Jim Ewers, whom he loved like a father.
Services will be held at 3 pm in the Strickland Funeral Home in Rincon, Georgia on Friday, June 3rd. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service. Reverend Rick Wilson will be officiating.
