Obituary

Christine Marie Ambrose Gibbons died unexpectedly on June 27, 2020 at the age of 50 while sleeping soundly at her home in Rincon, GA.

Christine was born on
October 11, 1969 in Parma, Ohio. She graduated from Corona del Sol High School
in Tempe, Arizona in 1988, and she later studied at Armstrong Atlantic State
University.

Christine's legacy is one
of love--extraordinary love of God and others. Whether through her role as
manager of Dress Barn Hilton Head or heart monitor technician at St. Joseph's
Candler, Christine impacted the lives of those she met by sharing her
infectious smile and unrelenting kindness. She allowed God's light to shine
through her as she was known for having the "heart of an angel" and offering
warm, sage advice to those in need. Not only was her everyday life a ministry
to Christ, but she also devoted herself to The Chapel Effingham. She faithfully
served the church as Family Promise Coordinator, Children's Ministry Pre-K
Teacher, and a women's Bible study leader. In her spare time, you could find
Christine loving on her dogs and cats, painting, cleaning, doing puzzles, or
watching ID. She was also a collector of: Jim Shore pieces, Bath & Body
Works, blankets, and anything Disney. Most of all, though, her favorite
activity was spending time with family.

Married on November 7,
2010, Christine and Mike were the definition of unconditional love. They taught
each other the value of forgiveness, commitment, and joy. Whether cooking,
traveling, trying adventurous cuisine, or watching UGA Football together, they
shared unforgettable laughs and moments together.

Christine's biggest source
of pride was her children, Tommy and Kimmy: "Her love made us stronger and more
independent. Through all the trials we faced together, she transformed us into
the man and woman we are today. She was always there whenever you needed to
talk (or when she was just bored). Mom was also always there to help with
college homework when we just couldn't find the words. Between bonding over The
Masked Singer to loving musicals, she was always ready to talk about anything.
We always quoted an essential Family Guy line to show our affection, 'Mom,
Mommy, Mom, Heather, Pookie, Chris, Christine, Madre' (whether we needed her
attention or not). Her love and pride widened with the announcement of her
first grandchild, Tatum James Coleman, expected to enter the world on November
2nd of this year. She was elated and honored to soon become a 'Gigi.' We love
you and miss you, your Spud Bucket and Peanut."

Christine is survived by
the love of her life, Michael Ryan Gibbons of Rincon, her beloved children,
Thomas Lee Coleman II (Arlyss) of Clarksville, TN and Kimberly Marie Coleman
(Keith) of Rincon, her step-grandchildren Joshua, Levi, Arlo, and Silas, her
children's grandparents Robert Coleman and Donna Coleman of Bloomingdale, her
mother, Linda Ambrose of Tempe, AZ, her brother, Michael Ambrose (Casey) of
Tempe, AZ, her mother-in-law Marsha Boyd of Newnan, her father-in-law Michael
Gibbons (Cynthia) of Graham, WA, her sisters-in-law Shelly Waters and Hannah
Boyd, her nieces Mackenzie, Makayla, Allison, and Ashlyn. She is preceded in
death by her father, Michael Ambrose of Tempe, AZ.

Pallbearers will be Mike
Gibbons, Jason Dyches, Dawn Dorsey, Thomas Coleman, Rick Thompson, and Jimmy
Ambrose with Keith Stille as an alternate.
