Pooler-Christopher (Chris) Aaron Walker, 39, entered into Heaven on Friday, January 30, 2015, from his home, surrounded by his family.
Chris was a native of Pooler, where he had lived most of his life. He graduated from Effingham County High School, and attended Spirit Life Church. He had a passion for camping, NASCAR, boats, and motorcycles. He loved the glass business, which he shared with his father. He had a passion for family, friends, and mostly the church where he loved to help people in the ministry. Chris was a very fun, caring, and helpful person. He was the type of person who loved to have fun in everything that he did in life.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Glenda & Ledell Sheley; father and step-mother, Aaron Walker, Jr. & Ellen Walker; sons, Dalton and Brandon Walker; daughter, Shelby Walker; sisters, Jennifer (Kevin) Moye, and Angela (Stanly) Abraham; half-brother, John Sheley; step-brothers, Gary Sheley, and Brian (Kerri) Arendes; step-sisters, Kim (Tommy) Gay, and Jessica (Aaron) Drew; fiancé, Elizabeth Bragg; grandparents, Aaron (Linda Morris) Walker, Sr., and Virginia Willis; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
The visitation will start at 5 p.m. on Monday at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home located at 901 W. Hwy. 80 in Pooler.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Spirit Life Revival Center located at 7 Cane Break Road in Savannah. Rev. Walt Sparks will officiate. Pallbearers will be Scott Reddick, Tony Davidson, Jim Huyck, Dwain Walker, Dereall Joyner, Ronnie Strickland, Clay Strickland, and Adam "Yank" Downs. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
