Mr. Christopher "Chris" Mauritho, age 41, of Savannah, passed away February 3, 2017. Chris loved the Lord, and the Word of God, and he belonged to New Testament Missionary Outreach Church for over 35 years. He dearly loved his family, and he loved to see the finished work of his own hands. Chris was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Russell and JoAnn Mauritho and maternal grandparents, Shelton and Shirley Covington. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Sheila A. Austin and Elbert Austin, of Savannah; Father, Russell "Russ" Mauritho, of Charleston, SC; fiancee' , Winter Weaver, of McIntosh, AL; Aunt Sonda and Uncle C. W. Green, Aunt Sandra Hicks, Aunt Marge Mauritho Jones, Aunt Nancy Mauritho Wing, Uncle Bill and Aunt Pam Mauritho, Uncle Buford and Aunt Vera Daniels; Meme Green; several cousins; A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 9, 11:00 AM at Strickland Funeral Home, West Chatham Chapel. Rev. Gary Grant and Rev. John Meador officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
