Christopher Clayton Shuman
(February 12, 1978 – April 30, 2011)

Christopher Clayton Shuman, 33, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011. Chris was born on February 12, 1978, and was a native of Chatham County. He graduated from Calvary Baptist Day School in 1997. He attended Savannah Technical College where he earned two degrees in computer technology. Chris was employed by United Insurance Company. He enjoyed his work and received numerous awards for excellence while always proudly serving his beloved clients.
With Chris' passing we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated, and although we miss him every day, especially his winning personality, he will always remain forever in our hearts. Chris is survived by his loving parents, Eddie and Gail Shuman of Savannah; his sister, brother-in-law and two nephews, Valerie Shuman McLaughlin, David McLaughlin, Bryson and Brayden of Statesboro; grandparents, Harry and Clarice Shuman of Savannah, C.P. and Inez Rutland (both deceased); aunts and uncles, George and Janet Hodge of Savannah, Len and Kay Jordan of Savannah; cousins, Stacey Hodge of Savannah, Jamie and Jennifer Hodge of Savannah, Kim and Richard Melton of Savannah, Lori and Marshall Jones of Atlanta, and Cynthia Jordan of Savannah; future fiancé April Femiano.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Friday at Thomas C. Strickland and Sons Funeral Home in Pooler, GA. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Silk Hope Baptist Church located at 4929 Pineland Drive, Garden City, GA. Interment will follow at Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, GA.
