GARDEN CITY: Christopher Lee Weatherly, 20, died from a tragic accident on Saturday, September 25, 2010.
Christopher was born on December 5, 1989 in Savannah. He is the beloved son of Hanibal Lee Weatherly, IV and Cathy Marie Riley. He was a graduate of Robert W. Groves High School and attended Florence-Darlington Technical College where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in Machine Operator Certification and was continuing to pursue degrees in Machine Tool Technology and Electrical Engineering as a honor student. He was employed by Micro Precision of Florence, SC. He loved the outdoors whether he was fishing, hunting or just riding his four-wheeler. He attended Fair Hope Church in Lamar, SC.
He is survived by his two sisters, Windy (Kevin) Hawkins and Rentha (John) Dill; three nephews, John Dill, Jr., Robert Hawkins and Travis Hawkins; two nieces, Daniell Dill and Rebecca Hawkins; grandfather, Papa (Elton Riley); Uncle Robert (Bossman) and Aunt Kathy; cousins, Kelly (Avant) Dantis, Trey Miles, Justin Riley and Rebecca Riley. He also left behind Mema (Connie Weatherly) and girlfriend Robyn Adams and many friends.
There will be a funeral service at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home in Florence, SC on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 1:00 p.m.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home in Pooler.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery on Dean Forest Road with Rev. Ross Lewis officiating.
