Ronald Charles (Chuck) Ellis, Jr passed away February 11, 2023, at the age of 58 after a long, courageous battle.  Chuck was born February 2, 1965, in Savannah, GA to Ronald Charles Ellis and Jeanette Hooks Ellis.  Chuck was born and raised in Savannah, GA and later moved to Effingham, Screven and lastly, Statesboro, GA.  He retired from Precision Cutting Services in 2021 and had a work ethic that compared to none.  His greatest treasure was his family and spending time with them. He was an incredible husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He will leave a legacy of faith, family and gratitude, which he personified in everything he did.  The love for his wife, Laura, was evident and easily seen by anyone.  His latest role as "Pops" to his granddaughter, Julianna, was one that he cherished and will never be forgotten.   Chuck truly enjoyed life and was always grateful.  Even throughout his illness, he could see the Lord's hand in every move and was thankful for his blessings.

Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Laura Marie Ellis, son and daughter in law, Joshua and Brandi Ellis and granddaughter, Julianna Ellis, son and girlfriend, Justin Ellis and Madison Konorosky, parents, Ronald and Jeanette Ellis, father in law Ron Sumner, mother in law Bonnie McMillian (Paul),  brother, Joey Ellis (Allison), brother in law Randy Sumner (Jamie), sister in law Paula Galetta, brother in law Alan Sumner (Leigh), brother in law Paul Sumner (Angie), sister in law, Natalie Rahn (Ashley), sister in law, Deborah Eubanks (Eurell). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins that were so much more than family and that he truly cherished.

He was predeceased by his mother in law, Judy Sumner and grandson, Dawson Ellis.

The family would also like to recognize Emory University Hospital, Clark Medical Group of Statesboro and Regency Southern Care Hospice Service for their excellent care and compassion during his illness.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm Wednesday, February 15, 2023 in the funeral home.

Graveside services will be 2 pm Friday, February 17, 2023 at Guyton Cemetery.
