Rincon – Cindy Lea Ferrebee Howard, 53, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her family.

The Paden City, WV native was a teacher with the Effingham County Board of Education, having spent most of her time at Rincon Elementary. She received her education in West Virginia and was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 86 and the VFW Auxiliary.   She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley Nicole Howard; her mother, Judy Ferrebee; and her sister, Dawn Ferrebee.

Survivors include her husband, Brandon Howard; daughter, Casey Howard; father, Leo Ferrebee; sister, Gina Dally (David); and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Visitation: 6-8 pm Friday, March 18, 2022 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 11 am Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Compassion Church of Effingham in Rincon.

Interment: Effingham Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, families may make a monetary donation, in memory of Cindy Howard, to the Effingham Recreation Department to support elementary athletes.
