C.J. Rogers, Jr.
Claxton-C.J. Rogers, Jr., 20, died on Monday, October 15, 2007 as a result of injuries
sustained in a automobile accident.
C.J. was born in Chatham County and attended Powers Baptist Church in Eden where he
had been a member of the youth group. He was an avid knife collector, enjoyed collector
cars, was a Dale Earnhardt fan and he never met a stranger.
Survivors include his wife, Jessica Rogers of Claxton; parents, Jeff & Diane Smalley of
Eden; sister and brother-in-law, Sean & Ashley Riego of Claxton; nephew, Ayden Riego
of Claxton; maternal grandparents, Bill & Ann Anderson of Claxton; paternal
grandparents, Gerald & Colleen Stevens of Rock Hill, SC and a number of aunts, uncles
and cousins.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial Service: 6 p.m. on Thursday at Powers Baptist Church.
