Mr. Clarence Shelton, 83, of Guyton, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.

He was born in Marshall, North Carolina to the late Bayward Shelton and Ola Yen.  He was also preceded in death by the father who raised him, Chin F. Yen, aka Tom, and a brother, Cloid.  He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and retired from the rail road and as a truck driver.  He was a pool shark, once playing pool with Fats Domino, and was a computer fanatic.  He enjoyed helping out at Steel Erectors, INC, and keeping DJ and Jesse.  He also enjoyed having coffee with friends each morning.

Survivors include his children, Sandra Shelton (Rob), Shelly Shaw (Ted), Michelle Clifton (David), and Melinda Hooper (Robert, Jr.); grandchildren, D.J., Jesse, Susan, Joseph, Mikel, Mark, Darina, Teresa, Cammie, Robert, III, Colton, Joel, and Sean; great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Tommy, Justin, Sandy, Kairi, Ceazar, and Selena; siblings, Genievieve, Darlene, Jean, June, Reva, Buster, Brenda, and Wanda, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 10 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home followed by the memorial service at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Hubbard officiating.

All CDC and social distancing guidelines will be in place including the wearing of masks (Chatham County Mandate).
