Mr. Clarence "David" Turner, 84 years old, of Bloomingdale, GA, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022.

David was born in Leary, GA, grew up in Savannah, and had lived in Statesboro, GA for 21 years before moving back to Bloomingdale to be nearer to family.  He was an avid drag racing fan and was the last founding member of the Southeast GA Timing Association.  He enjoyed barbequing, collecting antiques, making furniture, and tending to his plants.   He retired from Kutchey Auto Parts and was a member of the Rothwell Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Anne Clayton Turner of Bloomingdale, GA; children and spouses, Barry Turner (Lynn) of Pooler, GA, Kevin Turner of Puyallup, WA, Andrea Brown (Elton) of Bloomingdale, GA, Don Robert "Rob" Murray (Amy) of Glennville, GA and Steve Murray of Eden, GA; grandchildren, Keri Turner of Puyallup, WA, Brian Dunn (Mary) of Pooler, GA, Wendy Dunn of Winder, GA, Chris Carter (Stephanie) of Asia, Ashleigh Walker (William) of Fort Worth, TX, Courtney Booker (Andrew) of Pooler, GA , Landon Brown of Bloomingdale, GA, Allee Colson (Ethan) of Statesboro, GA, and Emma Murray of Glennville, GA; great-grandchildren, Jay Law of Pooler, GA, Taylor Bennett, Aubri McGinnis, and Riley McGinnis, of Winder, GA, Silas, Kate, Jedidiah, and Leeli Carter of Asia; Taylor, Ella, and Wyatt Walker, of Fort Worth, TX, Haleigh Bryant (Greg) of Pooler, GA, Brayden and Calleigh Peterson, of Pooler, GA, and Avery Kate Colson of Statesboro, GA; siblings, Kenny Turner (Margie) of Tybee Island, GA, Joyce Brantley (Jimmy) of Waycross, GA, Yvonne Knox (John) of Waycross, GA, and Lana Orr (Larry) of Bishop, GA, as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Rever Dee and Rosa Lee Turner; brother, Brady Turner, and granddaughter, Averi Anna Murray.

The visitation will be on Saturday, July 2, 2022 from 10 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.  The celebration of David's life will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home officiated by David's brother-in-law, Brother Jimmy Brantley.  The active pallbearers will be Bill Long, Dennis Nelson, Scott Redding, William Kerby, Jr., Bubba Daiss, and J.R. Browning.  The honorary pallbearers will be members of the Southeast Georgia Timing Association.
