Mr. Clem C. Burnsed
POOLER: Mr. Clem C. Burnsed, 81, died Saturday, August 15, 2009 at his residence.
Mr. Burnsed was born in Bryan County. He is the former owner of Oglethorpe Speedway and is the owner of Clem Burnsed Towing and retired from Clem Burnsed Body Shop after 50 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Burnsed and Rena Shuman.
He is survived by four daughters, Marilyn B. Snell (Tommy) of Beech Island, SC, Donna B. Daughtry (Reynolds) of Claxton, Becky B Sanders (Ricky) of Statesboro, Doris B. Hunnicutt (Mark) of Brooklet; two sons, Clem Burnsed, Jr. (Vicki) of Pooler, and Richard Burnsed (Denise) of Statesboro. One Brother, Floyd Burnsed; five sisters, Alvarine Beasley, Vera Stone, Joyce Wright, Mildred Edwards, and June Scarce; 12 grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 16, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 17, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Rothwell Baptist Church with burial to follow at Lower Black Creek Cemetery in Ellabell.
