Joyner's Corner – Clyde William Joyner died peacefully in his sleep close to family and friends Friday night.
Born on February 4, 1925 in Millen, Clyde attended the Georgia teachers college (Ga. Southern), served in World War II and was chief of police in Rocky Ford. He was raised as a Master Mason in 1948 and was a member of the Shrine.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Camille; brother, Harold Daniel Joyner and son, Clyde William Joyner, Jr. He is survived by his sister, Lilouise Miller; daughters, Catherine Bledsoe (David), Cynthia Sullivan (Fred); grandchildren, Beau Bledsoe (Jenifer), Brooke Sapp (Walter); great-grandchildren, Kasey and Lucy; several nieces and nephews; special friends and caregivers, Michelle Fernandes and Crystal McAdoo.
Clyde owned a successful real estate business for many years before moving to and founding, Joyner's Corner Store. He was a truly unforgettable man, known and loved by all fortunate to meet him.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Meldrim Baptist Church, 280 Oconee Avenue in Meldrim, Georgia.
