Guyton – Colen Anderson Campbell, Sr., 75, passed away January 4, 2023 at his residence.

The Chatham County native served in the U.S. Army and was employed with Local #96 International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers for over 50 years.  He was a member of Pine Street Baptist Church, the Guyton Volunteer Fire Department since 1975, a dive instructor and rescue diver, loved the outdoors, an avid hunter, a karate instructor, an avid craftsman who enjoyed woodworking including building swings that he placed in State Parks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sollie Anderson Campbell and Geneva Dennard Campbell; sister, Gail Edwards; brother, Dale Campbell.

Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Rahn Campbell; sons, Colen A. Campbell, Jr., Roy K. Campbell (Michelle), and Eric T. Campbell; grandchildren, Kayla Denmark (Jad), Tyler Anderson (Carrie), Austin R. Campbell (Megan), Ashley Slater, Lindsey Campbell, Eric Thomas Campbell, Jr., Destiny Wilson (Cody), Tristan Campbell, and Michael Campbell; 6 great-grandchildren, siblings, Rhonda Butler (Walter), Ricky Campbell (Shirley), Hank Campbell (Carol); sister-in-law, Pam Campbell; brother-in-law, Bobby Edwards; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Pine Street Baptist Church followed by funeral services at 11:30 a.m.

Interment will follow in Guyton Cemetery.
