Connie Elizabeth Hutchinson McCorkle
Rincon – Connie Hutchinson McCorkle, 66, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Candler Hospital.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Guy Edward Hutchinson and Ruby Jacobs Goolsby, and brother, Michael Curtis Goolsby. She loved her dogs, enjoyed gardening and caring for her family.
Survivors include her husband, Keith Shafenberg of Rincon; children, Donna Dyer of Guyton, Melissa McCorkle of Rincon, Charles McCorkle, III of Guyton, Lauren Jankowski of Cleveland, GA, and Keith Shafenberg, Jr. of Rincon; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Gloria H. Jankowski of Murrayville, GA, Betty Jo Benford of Tybee Island, Patricia Ann Karge of Aloha, OR, and Valerie Craven of Pooler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel.
Interment will be in Rincon Cemetery.
