Rincon/Metter-Mrs. Corine Hinely Owens, 91, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Azalea Health & Rehabilitation in Metter.
The Effingham County native was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rincon, the W.M.U., and the Harvesters Sunday School Class. She was also a former member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. For the past several years she attended the First Baptist Church of Collins. She retired from GA Pacific. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Wingard Hinely and Carrie Shipes Hinely; husband, Benjamin Franklin Owens, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Shirlene Owens; siblings, Charles Edward Hinely, Lewis S. Hinely, Henry Wingard Hinely, Jr., Vililia Hodges, and Lollie Morgan.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie & Bruce White of Metter; son, Robert Larry Owens of Rincon; grandchildren, Kevin & Sheri-Lyn Owens of Rincon, Tracey & Dennis Bazemore of Brooklet, Lisa & Jimmy DeBorde of Savannah, and Michelle & David Lamm of Metter; great-grandchildren, Kara Bazemore, Adam Bazemore, Mackenzie Bazemore, Benjamin DeBorde, Caitlin Lamm, Kirsten Lamm, Carolina Lamm, and Sydney Owens.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 1 p.m. on Wednesday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
