Craig Stephen Morgan 1961-2023
Craig Stephen Morgan passed away on September 30th at his home in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Craig is the beloved brother of Warren Porter Morgan Jr. (Nancy), Karen Elaine Morgan, and Dana Jay Morgan. Craig is survived by nephews Thomas (Kaleigh), and Richard and grand nephews Jaxson, Hudson, and Grayson. He was preceded in death by his parents Warren Porter Morgan Sr. and Daisy Carolyn Burbage Morgan.
Craig was born on November 8, 1961, and grew up in Clyo, Georgia. He graduated from Effingham County High School. He received a BS in Electrical Technology from Georgia Southern University, and he also earned an MBA from North Florida University. Craig began his career with Pan Am World in Cocoa Beach, Florida. After the Challenger exploded, he moved to Jacksonville Beach where he was employed by Bell South which later merged into AT&T. With AT&T, he worked in Birmingham, Columbia, and retired after working in Orlando.
Craig was a free-spirit and adventurous. He was a certified scuba diver and made many dives in the Bahamas and Roatan, Honduras. He would go deep sea fishing with his friends, and enjoyed deer and duck hunting with them.
Craig was enjoying his retirement by spending time with his family and friends. He often returned to the family farm for days at a time. He loved crabbing in the marshes of the low country and has kept a log of his crabbing adventures for seven years. Listening to music was a passion of Craig's. Wherever he was, music was always playing.
Interment will be on Saturday, October 21st at 1:00 pm at Ryall Cemetery in Clyo.
