Rincon-Cynthia M. Weeks, 75, passed on Thursday, September 27 after a long progressive illness.
Born in Savannah, GA, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Anita Murphy. She graduated from Savannah High School in 1955. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. As a stay at home mom, she devoted her entire life to the well being of her family.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, James (Jim) Weeks, her four children, Richard D. Weeks and wife Ruth, James Randall Weeks, Angela Carpenter and husband Clay and Michael G. Weeks and wife Michelle, six grandchildren, two sisters, Kathy Saturday and Tish Knight and brother David Murphy.
The funeral to celebrate Mrs. Weeks' life was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 1, 2012 in the chapel of the funeral home with Dr. Donnie Brannen officiating.
Mrs. Heidi Brannen provided the music. Pallbearers were Adam Carpenter, Morgan Weeks, Harrison Weeks, Virgil Knight, Kelly Knight and Jeffrey Woods. Interment followed at Bonaventure Cemetery.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, remembrances be sent to the Alzheimer's Association, 201 Television Circle, Savannah, GA 31406.
