Mrs. Dallas J. Martin, 93, of Pooler, and formerly of Garden City, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Place at Pooler with her daughters by her side.
Mrs. Dallas was born in Emanuel County to the late Virgil & Cleo Jeffers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray C. Martin. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Garden City where she also enjoyed playing on the church softball team for over 20 years. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed camping and fishing.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane & Brant Rushing, and Jean & John Hunter; grandchildren, Sherri Walsh, Stephanie Harrison, and Traci Alexander; great-grandchildren, Delton Rushing, Zane, Liam & Raegan Harrison, Taylor & Benjamin Walsh; brothers, James "Buddy" Jeffers and Ray "Slim" Jeffers, and several nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be on Tuesday from 10 until 11 a.m. with the funeral to follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Jake Brown will officiate and the pallbearers will be Delton Rushing, Todd Harrison, Liam Harrison, Ben Walsh, Benjamin Walsh, and Brantley Emanuel. Entombment will follow at Eastbrook Cemetery in Emanuel County.
