Dana Morgan Russell, 58, of Garnett, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, in hospice care surrounded by love.
Dana was born on September 14, 1967, in Savannah, Georgia. She grew up on Wilmington Island and graduated from Johnson High School in 1985. Dana was a hardworking and entrepreneurial woman who proudly owned and operated PCPS Medical Billing Service beginning in 2002. Through her work, she built lasting relationships with her staff and earned the respect of many clients and colleagues. Dana was known for her incredible creativity, determination, and willingness to take on any challenge. There was rarely a home improvement project too big for her to tackle, and she had a remarkable talent for crafting and decorating. Dana especially loved decorating for every holiday, hosting gatherings, and creating a warm and welcoming home where family and friends always felt celebrated.
Above all, Dana loved her family. She shared 33 wonderful years of marriage with the love of her life, Stephen “Zero” Russell. Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother, and she treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren.
Dana is survived by her husband, Stephen “Zero” Russell; her mother, Judy Graham; her children, Jeffrey Young (Brittany), Nicholas Russell (Amber), Chelsey Pevey (Josh), and Stephen Russell; her siblings, Roby Morgan (Tonya) and Amanda Ginn (Tony); and her beloved grandchildren, Chandler Young, Lane Pevey, Anna Kate Pevey, Emma Pevey, and Jacob Young, who affectionately called her “Honey.”
She was also loved by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Warren Graham and her father, Robert Morgan.
Dana’s creativity, strength, and deep love for her family will leave a lasting legacy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, 2460 Highway 21 South, Rincon, Georgia, on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
Visitation: 2:30 – 3:30 PM
Chapel Service: 3:30 PM
