Mr. Dana Rex Rice, 70, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Dana was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Rex Chilton Rice and Matilda Roseberry Rice, his son, Jason Rice, a brother, Charles "Chuck" Rice, and a sister, Mary Beth Johnson.  He retired from Gulfstream.  He enjoyed gardening and woodworking, both requiring him to be good with his hands.  He also enjoyed traveling, watching sports, including the GA Bulldogs, but most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Fatima Rice; two daughters and a son-in-law, Kelli Rice and Sarah Gantt (Jason); grandchildren, Shane Tison, Shania Jones, Nora Gantt, and Hazel Gantt; siblings, Shirley Kane, Bruce Rice, Nancy Johnson, Eddie Rice, Sandra "Sandy" Mazur, Michael Rice, and Darren Rice, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.  The funeral to honor Dana's life will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery.
