Dana Leigh Wells Bland

Maylene, AL – Dana Leigh Wells Bland, 52, passed away August 12, 2020 in Odessa, TX.

The Florida native made her home in Georgia for most of her life; she was a 1986 Graduate of Tompkins High School. In 2011 she completed her Certification for Nursing Assistant from Savannah Technical College and became a licensed CNA. Dana spent her adult years doing what she loved, caring for others. She was employed with Home Instead of Alabama where she provided home health care services to her elderly patients.

Dana loved her Lord and Savior & will be remembered for her huge heart and her capacity to love unconditionally. Dana strived to live like Jesus and loved everyone she came in contact with; if someone had a need she would do whatever she could to meet their need, even if it meant giving all she had.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Donna Snipes Wells.

Survivors include her daughter, Megan Foster (Gordon M.); granddaughter, Emma Willow Foster; brother, Jimmy Wells (Ronda); nieces, Rachael Howard (Jeff), Rebecca Wickstrom (Josh), and Jenna Wells; her fiancée, Walt Wellborn; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 noon August 20, 2020 in the chapel followed by funeral services at 12 noon. All CDC and social distancing guidelines will be in place and will limit the number of people in the building at any time.

Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
