Mr. David W. Archer
EDEN: Mr. David W. Archer, 56, died Thursday, December 24, 2009.
A native of Bloomingdale, David is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil W. Archer and Fonnie Tillman. He was a specialist mechanic of all trades and played the drums for "Strangers in a Band." He was a loving dedicated father and papa who loved his family with all his heart. His passion was to entertain, as he played Santa for his family every year to maintain his reputation as life of the party.
He is survived by his children, Seleta (Michael) Griffin of Brooklet, Chris Archer of Brooklet and Kevin Archer of Eden; grandchildren, Hunter, Hannah and Addie; sisters, Linda (Floyd) Jackson of Minneapolis, MN, Wanda (Joe) Williams of Eden, Pam (George) Zimish of Guyton and Patricia (Ricky) Luke of Guyton; brothers, Danny (Cheryl) Archer and Gary (Audrey) Archer of Meldrim and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, December 28, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery on Dean Forest Road
