IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David "Wayne"
Crapps
September 5, 1980 – February 1, 2024
Rincon – David "Wayne" Crapps, gained his angel wings on February 1, 2024, at 4:20 am, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born Sept. 05, 1980, in Pensacola, FL to Ms. Elizabeth "Libby" Best Crapps, and the late John Crapps. He lived most of his life in the Savannah, GA area.
Wayne, as everyone knew him, was a character. To know him was to love him. No matter your day, if he was around it was going to change. He made an impact on everyone he came across. He was a very avid Alabama fan, "Roll Tide". He lived life to the fullest. He was a hard worker within the construction business. Wayne has been with Southeast Ready Mix/ SRM for the past 5 years, as a loader operator. He could run any equipment you put in front of him, along with his "safety meetings". He took pride in his job. He cherished every moment with his family and friends. With every hand he was dealt, he made sure to beat it.
Lulu, I kept my promise. You were home to gain your wings. They were ready, but our hearts were not. – Charlene
He is preceded in death by his father, John Edward Crapps, and brother, John Christopher "Chris" Crapps.
He leaves to cherish his memory and character, his mother, Libby, of Flomaton, Alabama, stepfather, Mike Tyson, of Rincon, GA, two sisters, Mary Kimmons and Angelia Trawick, both of Flomaton, Alabama, three brothers, Jeremy Crapps, of Flomaton, Alabama, Ken Beasley (Charlene) and Aaron "his little fat buddy" Beasley of Rincon, GA. Along with nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends that he held dear to his heart.
"People come into your life for a reason, or a season, or a lifetime. Every so often in life, you randomly cross paths with someone you never knew you needed them, that will forever impact your life. A friendship that quickly turned into family. From the laughs, crying, ups and downs, sitting by the fire talking. No matter what, we were all there for each other. You will never know the footprint you left upon us. Your presence here on Earth will never be forgotten. We are not saying goodbye but see you later. Go enjoy your wings, sweet boy, I hope Heaven has a smokin section. Luv you big."
