IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David Eugene
Arthur
October 5, 1969 – March 28, 2023
David Eugene Arthur, Age 53, of Seattle, Washington passed away on Tuesday, March 28th, 2023 in Rincon, Georgia. He is survived by his mother, Naida Arthur of Rincon, GA, his sister and brother in-law, Greg and Christy Thayer of Rincon, GA, his nephew, Cody Thayer, his niece, Caylee Thayer, extended family members, and a large host of beloved friends across the country. David is preceded in death by his father, Jerrold Robert Arthur.
Born and raised in California, David discovered his passion for music as a teen and carried that love for the remainder of his life. He could always be found humming tunes, tapping out beats, and writing lyrics in notebooks he carried with him. In 2000, David moved to Seattle, Washington, fell in love with the city, and always considered it his true home. There, he continued pursuing his passion, playing with bands at local clubs, and producing his own music.
David lived a big life, leaving a legacy of love and laughter in all the lives that he touched. He was the storyteller, the poet, and the one that could make you laugh with all his crazy antics and adventures. He loved people, valued relationships, and made true and lasting connections with everyone he encountered. David laughed easily, listened attentively, and loved deeply. He was the spark that lit up every room and the artist that made the ordinary seem magical. David was truly one of a kind with a genuine soul, who lived his truth out loud and without regrets.
A light has gone out in the hearts of all those who loved him and were blessed to be impacted by his extraordinary life. David's song may have ended, but his music and the melody of the memories he left behind will live on.
"When my time in this world comes to an end, gather the family who loved me and the friends that knew me best. Play some good music, mix glitter in my ashes, and let the wind take me to all the places I never got a chance to see. Remember me with a smile and laughter ringing on your lips. But above all, live your life with love in your heart and a song in your soul."
The memorial service is private. In lieu of flowers, financial donations can be made in his honor to the American Liver Foundation. www.liverfoundation.org.
