Guyton – David Carlon Hampton, 53, passed away July 14, 2022 at Effingham Hospital.

The Illinois native was a U.S. Navy veteran having lived in Georgia for the past 30 years.  He was employed with Johnson Controls, Inc.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Travis William Dickerson.

Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Hampton; his parents, Joyce and Dennis Goodman; children, Kimberly Aleeta Tompkins, Brandon Michael Tompkins (Radonna), Aaron Christopher Hampton, Sara Krynne  Hampton (Katherine), Eli Jacob Hammersmith, Jared Nickolas Hammersmith; sisters, Tammy Twalene Hampton (John Harris), Wendy Renee Phillips (Tim), and Tara Denise Phillips (Adam); brother, David Luther Dickerson, IV (Hope); 8 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2022 at the funeral home followed by memorial services at 2 p.m. in the chapel.
