Mr. David George Lewis, 71, of Midway, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Lewis was born in Rochester, NY to the late Charles & Dorothy Lewis. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Richard Charles Lewis. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, and retired from Fluor Daniel. He enjoyed his pets, fishing, traveling, NASCAR racing, watching game shows and westerns, going to yard sales, collecting Zippo Lighters, but most of all, spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Lewis of Midway; children, George David Lewis of Fontanta, CA, David Wilson, Timothy Wilson, and Gage Lewis, all of Midway; three grandchildren: sister, Sheila (James)Bond of Greenville, SC, and several nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be on Wednesday, September 7th, 2016 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home located at 901 W. Hwy. 80 in Pooler with Rev. Don Corbitt officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service.
