David E. Ulmer, 53, lifetime resident of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Emory University Hospital.

David was preceded in death by his father, Larry Alvin Ulmer, his paternal grandparents, Bertha Mae and Rev. Vernon Ulmer, and his maternal grandparents, Jane Lois and Arthur George Mandry, Sr.  He served his country in the United States Air Force for 14 years, making stops in Okinawa Japan, Adana Turkey, Thule Greenland, Saudi Arabia, Seoul Korea, as well as many places in the United States.  He was a cable installer of fiber optics, cameras, and cables all over the world.

Survivors include his wife, Julia Altune Essan Ulmer; son , Ryan Mikail Ulmer presently of the United States Coast Guard; mother, Mary Kay Mandry Ulmer; sisters, Tanya Bourdon-Beaudoin (Carl), Jamie Lisa Benton, and Rebecca Sellers; nephews, Justin Wilson, Brandon Benton, and Tristan Bourdon; nieces, Madilyn Wilson, Rebecca Benton, and Hunter Ellwell, as well as his two devoted dogs, Rambo "Bo" and Zechariah.

The graveside funeral and burial to honor David's life will be on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Gravel Hill Cemetery located on Highway 80 in Bloomingdale, Georgia with Pastor Leonard Daugherty officiating and military honors being rendered.
