David Shayne Wilson, 43, of Guyton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at his home.

Shayne was born in Savannah, Georgia.  He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence David Wilson; maternal grandfather, Marion Harn; paternal grandparents, Alfonso "Mac" and Dora McElveen, a uncle, Steve Wilson, an aunt, Sherri Deaton, and his mother-in-law, Mary Pzan.  Shayne did electrical work most of his life.  Shayne was "the life of the party" who enjoyed hanging out with friends.  He was outgoing, charismatic, and funny.  He had a big personality and enjoyed being the center of attention.  He loved his music, cars, clothes, and shoes.  He enjoyed watching the Atlanta Falcons and the Los Angeles Lakers, especially when Kobe was playing.  He enjoyed snow skiing and anything on the water.  He will be remembered most for loving his family.

Survivors include his wife, Heather Wilson; children, Kaybre Wilson and Kobe Wilson; step-daughter, Kayley McKenzie; grandson, Draiden  Wilson; step-grandchildren, Ella Mackey and Amelia Mackey; mother and step-father, Tammi and Mark Horne; siblings, Chad Wilson (Cathy), Chelsea Horne, Cortny Detillion, and Joseph Wilson; maternal grandparents, Mike and Goldie Little; paternal grandparents, Edward and Bonnie Horne, as well as a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The visitation will be on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.  The funeral to honor Shayne's life will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.  The burial will follow at Effingham Memorial Gardens.
