Mr. Dean Wilkes 74, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at his home peacefully.

He was born in Vidalia, Georgia to the late Carlos Wilkes, Sr. and Frankie Edenfield Wilkes.  He was a member of Bible Baptist Church and loved watching the GA Bulldogs play football, and watching his cowboy movies.  He was the former owner/operator of Dean Wilkes Auto Body Shop.

Survivors include three daughters, Simone Wilkes White (John), Shannon Wilkes, and Stacy Wilkes Williams (Joel); brother, Terry Wilkes (Marcia); grandchildren, Daniel (Pam), Sierra, Summer (Logan), Selena, Alexis, Zachary, Elizabeth (Tyler), Trey, and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Stephen, Cohen, Talon, and one on the way; extended family, Marilyn Wilkes; nephews, Greg and Lee; niece, Niki, as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.

The visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday, April 5, 2021 in the chapel of the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home in Pooler.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 in the chapel of the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home in Pooler with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.

All CDC and social distancing guidelines will be in place including the wearing of masks (Chatham County Mandate).
