Deastel Elic Spikes
Rincon – Deastel Elic Spikes, 90, passed away January 1, 2017 at his residence after a short illness.
The Reidsville native served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Union Camp after 45 years. He was a member of Savannah Baptist Temple.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nash and Lesbia Spikes; and his wife, Annie Mae Spikes.
Survivors include his son, Gary D. Spikes of Rincon; daughter, Annette (James) Daring of Guyton; grandchildren, Jimmy and B.J. Daring, and Timmy D. Spikes; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Ethan, Broden, and Jaxson; brother, Gettis Spikes; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Graveside funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
