Deborah Jane Stafford, 70, a lifelong resident of Garden City, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

Deborah graduated from Robert W. Groves High School and attended Georgia Southern College. She loved working alongside her father, Jack C. Stafford, for more than 20 years as a bookkeeper and financial manager at Stafford Industrial Constructors.

Everyone who knew Deborah experienced her big heart and giving nature. She never forgot a birthday or special event, and she loved to send cards and flowers to family and friends. You counted yourself very fortunate if you received one of her amazing gift baskets. She loved decorating, pumpkins, telling stories and laughing, blankets, old movies, salad dressing and good food. She loved her fur babies current and past, Arthur, Cooper, Auggie, Ellie, Nala, and Bruno. She loved the fall most of all along with the North Carolina mountains. Most especially, she loved and adored her daughter Katharine. She will be remembered by all who knew her as a present, devoted, and loving mother.
