Debra Jo Bruner

Springfield- Debra Jo Bruner, 61, died Tuesday, May 15, 2018 after losing her battle with lung cancer.

The Effingham County native was a member of First Baptist Church of Springfield and had worked in food service all her life, including Effingham County Middle School, Coastal Corrections, and Huddle House of Springfield. She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Bruner; and two nephews, Daniel and Robert Bruner.

She is survived by her son, Dale Quigley (Mia); mother, Hazel Bruner; grandchildren, Brandi Williams (Floyd, III) and Landon Quigley; sister, Bonnie Bruner; brothers, Wayne Bruner (Vicky) and Bobby Bruner (Brenda); and a large extended family.

Visitation: 6-8 pm Friday, May 18, 2018 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 10 am Saturday, May 19, 2018 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment: Springfield Cemetery Annex.
