1967 – Denise- 2025

Rincon - Denise Murphree Show, 57 went Home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 5, 2025, after a brave 3.5 year battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

She was an Alabama native and a member of First Baptist Church of Rincon, where she loved being a part of the Kidz Staff and working with babies. Denise had heart for the Lord, leading bible studies and telling others about Jesus. She was a University of Alabama Birmingham graduate with a Doctorate of Optometry and active UAB Alumni. Denise had a very outgoing personality, that led to many deeply committed life-long friendships, as well as, opportunities to minister and mentor others.

She was preceded in death by her father Marlin Murphree; and grandparents, Francis and Bernice Graves.

Survivors include her devoted husband, Larry Show; children, Caleb Mills, Benjamin Mills, Rebekah Averratti, Cassandra Show, Olivia Prawius Show and Jordan Show; mother, Yvonne Murphree; sister, Kelly Murphree Skelton and her husband Stephen; nephews, Andrew Skelton and Luke Laguna; father-in- law/mother-in-law, Ted and Patsy Buckley and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial Services will be at 6pm, Thursday, May 8, 2025 at FBC Rincon. Interment will take place in Alabama at a future date.

Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Effingham Cancer Care Center for taking such good care of Denise for these past 3.5 years.
