Rincon- Dennis H. Shuman, 66, left for Heaven Sunday October 22, 2023 at East Jefferson Hospital in New Orleans, LA.

The Chatham County native was a member of Compassion Christian Church, Effingham Campus. Dennis was a former employee of Stone Container Company, but was a custom framer for the family business, Shuman Fine Art Photography.  Many of his framed pictures are throughout Effingham County. He loved fishing and baking his "world famous" cream cheese pound cake. One of his favorite things to do was be with his grandchildren that called him "Pop Pop". During his 14 year battle with cancer, Dennis claimed his favorite verse, Phil. 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." He was incredibly resilient (even according to his doctor).

Survivors include his wife, Jill H. Shuman; his children, Cory H. Shuman (Julia) and Jillane Tucker (Daniel); and grandchildren, Woods Tucker, Wilkes Tucker, William Tucker, Walker Tucker, and Olivia Shuman; many nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Visitation: 10:30 – 11:45 am Monday, October 30, 2023 at Compassion Christian Church, Effingham Campus.

Funeral: 12 Noon Monday, October 30. 2023 at Compassion Christian Church, Effingham Campus.

Interment: Effingham Memorial Gardens.
