Derrell Claude Dubberly
Rincon – Derrell C. Dubberly, 77, passed away April 12, 2017 at The Oaks – Bethany in Vidalia, Ga.
The Tattnall County native attended Rincon Church of God, volunteered at Manna House Ministries, and was a member in good standing of Richard T. Turner Lodge #119. He was a retired boilermaker welder from International Paper Savannah GA, formerly Union Camp and was a retired member of Boilermakers Union Local 26.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Beverly Jane Dubberly. His parents, Alvin & Helen Dubberly and brothers, Gene Dubberly & Dicky Dubberly.
He is survived by his 3 children, Darlene Sides (Danny) of Montgomery AL, Dale Achtziger (Wayne) of Clyo, GA and Anthony Dubberly (Jennifer) of Savannah GA. Siblings: Anne Conner of Vidalia GA, Jimmy Dubberly (Onnie) of Glennville GA, Billy Dubberly (Geraldine) of Williamsburg, VA and Libby Sapp (C.L.) of Glennville GA; Grandchildren: Christopher Achtziger (Lauren) of Columbus, GA, Grady Achtziger (Kristen) of Clyo, GA, Roy Achtziger of Clyo, GA, Abigail Dubberly of Savannah GA and Leia Sides of Wetumpaa, AL; 8 Great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
We would like to express our gratitude to the staff at Bethany Nursing Home for taking such good care of and loving our father like you did.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Rincon Church of God.
