Diego Vargas, 58, of Rincon, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Diego was born in Montenegro Quindio Colombia.  Maestro de escuela dominical at Iglesia Cristiana de Rincon and was employed with Rugby Architectural Building Products.

Survivors include his wife, Sonia Vargas of Rincon, GA; daughters, Jalime Vargas of Florida and Katherine Vargas of Florida; grandson, Draken Alexander Vargas; father, Humberto Vargas of South Carolina; mother, Nohelia Ramirez of Colombia; siblings, Luz Adriana Vargas of Colombia, Luz Aleicy Vargas of South Carolina, Jorge Humberto Vargas of Colombia, Norma, Edward and Patricia Vargas of Colombia; several nephews and nieces, as well as his dogs, Snow and Loba.

The family will celebrate Diego's life with a service on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home located at 901 West Highway 80 in Pooler.  All CDC and social distancing guidelines will be in place, including the mandatory wearing of masks (Chatham County Mandate).

Diego nació en Montenegro Quindio Colombia.  Fue Maestro de escuela dominical en la Iglesia Cristiana de Rincón y fue empleado de Rugby Architectural Building Products.
Los sobrevivientes incluyen a su esposa, Sonia Vargas; a sus hijas, Jalime Vargas de Florida y Katherine Vargas de Florida; nieto, Draken Alexander Vargas; padre, Humberto Vargas de Carolina del Sur; madre, Nohelia Ramirez de Colombia; hermanos, Luz Adriana Vargas de Colombia, Luz Aleicy Vargas de Carolina del Sur,  Jorge Humberto Vargas de Colombia; Norma, Edward y Patricia Vargas de Colombia; varios sobrinos y sobrinas, así como sus perros, Snow y Loba.
La familia celebrará la vida de Diego con un servicio el sábado 15 de agosto de 2020 a las 3 p.m. en la capilla de la funeraria Thomas C. Strickland & Sons ubicada en 901 West Highway 80 en Pooler. Se implementarán todas las pautas de distanciamiento social y de los CDC, incluido el uso obligatorio de máscaras (Mandato del Condado de Chatham).
