Donald Eugene Bryant

Eden- Donald (Gene, "Tadpole") Bryant, 78, died Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro.

The Savannah native was a member of Black Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Ellabell. He had worked and retired from Union Camp/International Paper for 43 years. He also served as President of Savannah Bike Club where he rode in BRAG (Bicycle Ride Across Georgia).

He loved fishing, planting in his garden, watching "MASH" reruns and the movie "Jaws" over and over with his daughter.  Most importantly he loved and cared for his special needs daughter, inventing ways to overcome the obstacles to give her the best of care.

His parents were Donald H. Bryant and Ronnie S. Bryant.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ann Bryant; two daughters, Kimberly Coyer and her husband, Don, and Karen Bryant; a brother, Rev. Dan Bryant; a sister, Jeanette "Dee" Jackson and her husband, Ray; and nieces.

Visitation: 6-8 pm Monday, November 19, 2018 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 11 am Tuesday, November 20, 2018 in the funeral home chapel.

Burial: Lower Black Creek Cemetery.
