Donald Lee Cannon

Bloomingdale – Donald Lee Cannon, 77, passed away July 29, 2026 at his residence.

The Chatham County native retired from Iron Worker’s Local #709. He was a mechanic, enjoyed racing, fishing, and playing poker. He collected coins, guns, and anything else he could find. He was a very giving man and would do anything he could to help.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Lee Cannon and Addie Mae Carter Cannon; and brothers, Jimmy, George, Danny, and David.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Morgan Cannon; children, Donald Thomas Cannon, Donna Ann Mincey (Troy), Cathy Lynn Cannon (Daniel Craven), and a grandchild whom he raised as a son, Thomas Landon Michael Cannon; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2026 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2026 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow in Ryall Cemetery in Clyo.

There will be a celebration of life reception after the funeral at the home of Cathy Cannon, 122 Mustang Drive, Guyton, GA 31312.
