Statesboro – Donald D. Spivey, 60, passed away unexpectantly on Monday, October 16, 2023 at his home.

The Chatham County native was a longtime employee at International Paper. He was an avid hunter, belonging to the Laurel View Hunting Club for many years. He loved fishing, watching sports, spending time with his family, cooking, and making others laugh. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby & Mabel Spivey; brothers, Randall A. Spivey, Sr. and Ronald W. Spivey; and a nephew, Randall A. Spivey, Jr.

Survivors include his brother, Bobby J. Spivey, Jr. (Kathleen); sister, Pamela Spivey Cartee (Caleb); sister-in-law, Becky Spivey; nieces and nephews, April Spivey Smith, Chris Chambers, Mandi Williams (John), Courtney Strickland, Brian Spivey (Dana), Rachel Spivey (Taylor), Sarah Spivey (Steph), Victoria Rahn (Hunter), Luke Strange, Christine Jordan (William), Zack Dickerson (Logan), and Josh Dickerson; several great-nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Visitation: 11:30 am – 12:30 pm Friday, October 20, 2023 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 12:30 pm Friday, October 20, 2023 in the funeral home chapel.

Burial: 2:30 pm Friday, October 20, 2023 at Greenwich Cemetery.
