Pooler - Ms. Donna Davey, 70, died peacefully Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at her residence.

She was an active member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Savannah, GA., where she lived most of her life. She was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, of which she served three years. At age 46, she moved to Pooler, Georgia, where she lived the remainder of her life and was an active member of the community. Donna earned an Associate of Arts degree, Medical Secretary, from Sullivan College, Louisville, KY. Donna also worked for 13 years at Lowe's, Savannah, GA. During the course of her employment, she greeted customers with a beautiful smile and a kind word. Donna was friendly by nature, especially to the fire service, as her daughter and father are firefighters. Never meeting a stranger, she was loved by all. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Jewel and George Davey.

Donna is survived by her children, Theresa and husband Tommy Oliver of Kissimmee, FL; Capt. Tonia Snelling of Pooler, GA; FCC (SW) Kevin and wife Donna Cranmer of Virginia Beach, VA; and Toby Cranmer of Clarksville, IN; grandchildren, Ssgt. Joshua and Brent Snelling; Kaitlin and Alexander Cranmer; Travis, Troy and Trace Oliver; niece, Sherrie and husband Ben Barger.

A vigil service will be held 5 p.m. Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home with visitation continuing until 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, July 5, 2010 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 11500 Middleground Road, Savannah, GA with Monsignor Francis J. Nelson officiating.

A graveside service will be 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7, at Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville, IN. May she rest in peace.
