Mrs. Dora McElveen, 86, of Guyton and formerly of Bloomingdale, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016 at her home.
Mrs. Dora was born in Egypt, GA to the late Henry & Florrie Bell Morton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, A.J. "Mac" McElveen, and a son, George Steve Wilson. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marlow and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Debra & Pastor Gene Fail; son, David Lawrence Wilson; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill and Willard Morton, and several nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be on Thursday from 12 noon until 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the funeral to follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Pastor Gene Fail will officiate and the pallbearers will be Craig Fail, Jason Fail, Wesley Wilson, Shane Wilson, Chad Wilson, and Joe Wilson. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
