Dori Ann Jones

Dori Ann Jones, 57 of Brooklet, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, surrounded by her children.

Dori will be deeply missed by her children, Rachael Brown (Donald), Thomas Schmidt, and Garrett Jones; and by her beloved granddaughters, Abigail Brown and Zoey Wood; and father-in-law, Bobby Joe McAlister.

Born in Dayton, Ohio, Dori was preceded in death by her husband, Michael W. Jones (Papa Bear); her parents, Michael Schlosser and Saundra Schlosser Roman; her brother, Mikey Schlosser; and mother-in-law, Shirley McAlister.

Dori loved the Lord and lived her life with a heart full of faith, love and kindness. She had a true servant’s heart and was the kind of person who made everyone she met feel loved and cared for. Her incredible kindness was one of the many things that made her so special. She gave it freely and never expected anything in return.

Above all, Dori treasured being a Mimi and some of her happiest moments were spent taking her girls on their special “Mimi adventures”, making memories, laughing and enjoying life together.

Dori will be remembered as the best Mimi, loving mother, a devoted wife and a woman whose faith and kindness touched countless lives. Her love, her joyful spirit and the memories she created will live on through her children and her grand girls forever.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date to honor Dori’s life.
