Dorine Helmly Hinely

Port Wentworth- Dorine Helmly Hinely, 88, died Monday, May 7, 2018 at Westview Nursing Center.

The Effingham County native was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church and had attended First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother that kept children in her home so that parents could work. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl & Minnie Helmly; sister, Idell Knight; and brothers, Howard, Leon, Grady and Robert Helmly.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Edward R. Hinely; two sons, Keith Hinely (Robin) and Michael Hinely (Charlotte); a sister, Betty Charron (Don); a sister-in-law, Brenda Helmly; two grandsons, Jason Hinely and Justin Hinely; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 10 - 11 am Thursday, May 10, 2018 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 11 am Thursday, May 10, 2018 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment: Jerusalem Lutheran Church Cemetery
